“Painting is a way for me to express gratitude and hope as I navigate the seasons of life. I began painting shortly after my oldest son was diagnosed with a rare disease. Painting gave me a place of peace to process what was happening. Taking courses to learn new techniques was a distraction in the best way. After my son’s successful treatment, I found myself overflowing with gratitude, hope, joy, and peace, and those emotions found their way onto the canvas.“
